Meet Dr. Jayme Wood

Dr. Jayme Wood grew up just east of Raleigh in Middlesex, NC where she graduated from Southern Nash High School. She completed her undergraduate studies in Microbiology and Spanish at North Carolina State University where she graduated Summa Cum Laude. She then completed her Doctorate of Dental Medicine at the University of Florida College of Dentistry in Gainesville, FL. During her dental studies, Dr. Wood spent additional time providing dental care to underserved communities throughout Central Florida. She also traveled to Guatemala, Jamaica, Costa Rica, and Panama to provide dental care to those in need. She quickly realized it was a privilege and honor to use her knowledge and skills to serve others through dentistry.

Dr. Wood returned to North Carolina after graduation and has been practicing dentistry in the Raleigh area for over 12 years. She is thrilled to now be partnered with Dr. Weaver as a practice owner in providing exceptional dental care to our community. Dr. Wood enjoys taking the time to listen and get to know her patients on a personal level. She strives to consistently provide a gentle and pleasant dental experience for everyone, with attention to detail and excellence. She has completed numerous hours of additional training in areas of Invisalign (clear aligner orthodontics), oral surgery, implant placement, obstructive sleep apnea, inspired hygiene, CAD/CAM technology, digital dentistry, pediatric dentistry, and cosmetic smile design. Dr. Wood is committed to staying up to date with the latest techniques in dentistry through continual learning.

In her spare time, Dr. Wood enjoys spending time with her husband and two small children. They are avid Wolfpack and Canes fans. She is also an outdoor and travel enthusiast. Her other passions include cooking and singing. Dr. Wood has a heart for taking care of people of all ages and would love the opportunity to meet you and your family!
